A Smarter Baby Gift: Artful Tees for Every Growth Stage

One of the most unexpected rewards of being an artist has been seeing my encaustic designs take on new life—not just on walls, but on t-shirts. Over time, I’ve translated many of my art patterns into wearables, and while adults appreciate them, the most fun has come from turning these designs into gifts for babies.

It started as a personal project—making something playful and meaningful for the newborns of friends and family. But I noticed a familiar trend: new parents get flooded with 6-month-sized outfits, all adorable, but all quickly outgrown. Babies don’t stay tiny for long, and most of those clothes barely get worn.

That’s when I had an idea: what if the gift could grow with the baby?

Now, when I give baby tees, I package a set of four sizes—6M, 12M, 18M, and 24M—each featuring one of my original encaustic-inspired designs. Instead of a one-and-done outfit, it becomes a series of wearable pieces that follow the baby through their early years.

The best part? Seeing the photos parents send as their child grows into each size—months down the line. There’s something really satisfying about knowing the gift keeps showing up in their lives, long after the wrapping paper’s gone.

It’s personal. It’s useful. And it’s just plain fun to share.

If you're looking for a baby gift that’s a little different—and lasts more than a moment—consider an artful tee bundle that grows with the child. It’s a simple idea that makes a lasting impression.
