My work combines geometric abstraction with the tactile qualities of encaustic painting. Each piece begins as a digital composition that I transfer to rice paper and fuse into layers of wax. I then work by hand with a heated stylus, building the surface through thousands of individually placed dots.
From a distance, color, geometry and pattern take over. Up close, the surface reveals something different: texture, variation and the evidence of the hand.
Inspired by geometry. Built with dots.
